S/NASH Jewelry Hang Tags

The S/NASH hangtags just came back from the printer and they're pretty sexy. The paper is copper with a diamond luster on it that is guaranteed to loosen the purse strings of hipsters around the world. If you have checked out her jewelry yet, you should. It's amazing! Now there's word of a custom project between our two massive think tanks, it might be called Doublenash or it might be S/COOP. We'll have to wait and see.Link

Thank you postcards...

Just got the thank you postcards back from the printer so if you're reading this and we owe you a thanks, act surprised when you open the mailbox!

I was shooting for a spiritual hippy vibe crossed with a hip-hop bling style. I think it works...

Office Hours M-F 9 until 3

Just a quick note to let you know that we're in the office M-F 9 am till 3pm. Generally we're jamming some weird music, brainstorming designs or doodling on a new comic strip about a rogue band of folk musicians from the hills of Guemes Island.

Here's a picture of me, watching you open the door.

Economic Stimulus Package

So, wait, things aren't that bad out there, we promise! Just to prove it, we wanted to let you know that if you're feeling the crunch but still need some design work done, talk to us.

You know what we love? Trades... even if you're low on funds, we know you've got something we need. It could be tax help (wink, wink), it could be a hand knit armsling, it could even be some new Chuck Taylors that fell off the truck (size 7 or 10 please).

The point is this, don't be afraid to talk to us about your needs just because you're feeling the cash crunch.

New Knw-Yr-Own Ad for Yeti...

It's dark and bleak for the record industry these days... KYO records asked us to represent that in their new ad. So, we were riding on the ferry and caught the water looking particularly dark and silver and the ad was nearly finished, all it needed was a little sparse text.

Directory Signs

The Keystone Center of the Arts (the art studio/office building which doublescoop resides in) hired us recently to revamp their building signs. We replaced both the more permanent ones (floor markers, exit signs, etc.) and their more transient (tenents) throughout the building in complimentary style and tone. The more perminent signs we screenprinted onto prefinished maple, but we were faced with a conundrum regarding the practicality and the costs associated with printing temporary signs in a building with a high turnaround rate. We advised to keep it cheap and simple by printing on a recycled cardstock at the local high end printer. That way with a template in place, new tenent signs are quick, cheap and easy, while still having the touch of class a textured recycled stock and a nice digital print gives.

We hung the final product last weekend, though still have to make the placard for the second floor directory, which we expect to complete in the next couple weeks.

Promotional Rack Card

2-panel promotional brochure to be printed on glossy card stock

This is a recent project I've been working on for Anderson's General Store on Guemes Island , WA.

If you've been on a ferry or into your local chamber of commerce recently you've probably noticed cards like these. Glossy and eye catching, they lure tourists to their attractions.

For this endeavor we not only designed the card itself, but took original food photography and illustrated a new logo for it (look out for new etched glasses, coming soon!).

Here are some photos that didn't make the cut, but I still have a soft spot for.

Postcard Design

promotional postcard printed on 100LB off-white linen stock

This is a postcard we recently designed for a play being shown at Seattle's SPF3 theater festival. The play is entitled "Take This One With You."
Speaking to postcards of the past, we hand painted each black and white photograph used on the front of this card as well as hand lettering the Post Card logo found on the back and designing the overall concept and layout.
